Does Facebook really deletes your deleted data ?
Max Schrems with his 1,222 pages of his Facebook Data |
When you delete something from Facebook, all you are doing is hiding it from yourself
Austrian law student Max Schrems may be just one of about 800 million Facebook users, but that hasn't stopped him tackling the U.S. giant behind the social networking website over its privacy policy. The 24-year-old wasn't sure what to expect when he requested Facebook provide him with a record of the personal data it holds on him, but he certainly wasn't ready for the 1,222 pages of information he received.
This included photos, messages and postings on his Facebook page dating back years, some of which he thought he had deleted, the times he had clicked “like” on an item, “pokes” of fellow users and reams of other information.
“When you delete something from Facebook, all you are doing is hiding it from yourself,” Mr. Schrems told AFP in his home city of Vienna.

The Symbian is once a mobile operating system for high end mobile phones but now all the high end mobile phones has Android as its mobile operating system. Now the real question is that whether the Symbian is outdated and my answer is yes.

Apple Now Has More Cash Than The U.S. Government
New figures from the U.S. Treasury Department indicate that the government has a total operating cash balance of $73.768 billion, less than Apple's own war chest of $75.876 billion.
As noted by Matt Hartley of the Financial Post, the news comes even as Republican and Democrat lawmakers debate over the federal budget and debt ceiling. The government's $73 billion number actually represents the "financial headroom" that lawmakers have before reaching an arbitrary debt ceiling, according to the report.

Getting Your Blog Noticed
It’s tough to make a blog. You can write all the great content you want, but if nobody sees it then what’s the point? Luckily there are a few things you can do to help make sure people become readers of your blog.
1. Trackbacks
Not all blogs allow these, but trackbacks are comments that are automatically sent to a blog when it’s been referenced. If you’re talking about something, and somebody else has written about it, reference it! Either directly in the post or at the end put a “Further Reading” section and put links there. This will not only get you a (most likely nofollow) link out in the blogosphere, but there’s a chance the owner of the blog you referenced will check the site out.
Top Five Best WordPress Plugins for Business
WordPress is the world’s most popular open source content management system (CMS), but its standard set of features leave a bit to be desired for organizations using WordPress to power their blog or entire website. However, thanks to a few free WordPress plugins, you can help boost your search engine friendliness, do a better job with web analytics, create better copy, and much more.

More Than 100 Delectable Examples of Forced Perspective Photography
By, Thomas Anderson
The forced perspective technique manipulates our human perception with the use of optical illusions to make objects appear larger, smaller, farther, or closer than they actually are. Photography also uses forced perspective a lot as well to give a certain feel to an image. That’s why I was surprised to only find a few thousand results when searching for ‘forced perspective’ on Flickr.
Cloud
This particular technique does not only create a visual interest in the photograph but also make them work of art. Here, we have compiled a stunning post on Forced Perspective Photography that will surely take your breaths away. Enjoy!

AeroPlane Restaruant
The Iran-Contra Cargo Plane - Restaurant and Bar
What's the future for a cargo plane after it was shot down?
Well, it can start a bar and restaurant business. Not bad. Don't take it as a joke. Fairchild C-123 relates its name with one of the biggest scandals in the mid 1980's. That involved the Reagan Administration's bizarre of network for arms sales to Iran. This very cargo plane was shot down on October 5, 1986, while delivering supplies to the Nicaraguan Contras.
Bitdefender 2012
Bitdefender has updated its suites for the coming year, and it says it has done it in part by adopting a bit of Romanian lore. Although, to be honest, it may also sound familiar to fans of George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones series. Available exclusively today from CNET Download.com, Bitdefender Total Security 2012 (download), Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 (download), and Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012 (download)were improved in part by taking on the "philosophy based on mythical wolf-dragon from Romania," said Matt Hicks, the company's global public relations manager. The wolf-dragon, he said, is supposed to represent security and alertness.

Mozilla building mobile OS to battle Chrome
Mozilla revealed preliminary plans today to take the Gecko engine that drives its Firefox browser and turn it into an open-source operating system that will eventually work on phones and tablets.
Called Boot to Gecko, it is known that the source code will be released to the public "in real-time," wrote Andreas Gal, a Mozilla researcher. Gecko is the rendering engine that powers Firefox and the e-mail client Thunderbird. By contrast, while Google's Androidmobile operating system is open source, the main development work on it does not become available until after Google has green-lit its publication--sometimes not until months afterward.

Government shutting down hundreds of data centers
The U.S. government is aiming to pull the plug on hundreds of unneeded data centers over the next few years in an attempt to save the taxpayers some hard-earned cash.
In blog published yesterday, the White House's Office of Management and Budget admitted that instead of consolidating data centers as many businesses have done in recent years, the government went in the opposite direction. Between 1998 and 2010, federal agencies actually quadrupled their number of data centers despite increases in the efficiency of data storage.
And of course, taxpayers have been stuck paying the bills for those data centers and all the equipment, supplies, and controls they require. The energy costs can be especially high as such data centers can soak up 200 times as much power as standard office spaces, according to the blog.
India VS England 2000th Match
London, July 15: Many are asking the question whether Test cricket is a tenable sport in this fast-paced day and age. An 8-hour-a-day, five-day game that oftentimes culminates in a draw, may defy the norms of entertainment in the present paradigm. But the fact that the 2000th such encounter is all set to unfold at the home of cricket Lords, England, with a sell-out crowd ready to witness the epoch, is validation of its enduring popularity.
England has always been one to purport tradition and custom and now there are nine other such participating countries following suit where Test cricket is concerned (with the appearance of new entrants on the horizon). Today's set up is indeed a far cry from the early years of this long-winded contest where the only countries that engaged in such were England and Australia.

Dhoni Wins it For India
Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni's stellar partnership paved the way for India to end its 28-year wait for a World Cup title even as Mahela Jayawardene's century and Muttiah Muralitharan's swansong ended in hurt and despair.
Chasing a target of 275, India were pegged on the back foot as early as the second ball of their innings when Lasith Malinga trapped Virender Sehwag plumb in front, and though the Indian opener asked for a referral, it was upheld. Malinga then struck again in the seventh over when he had Mumbai's icon Sachin Tendulkar caught behind in the seventh over. But, the title was sealed when Dhoni hit the first ball of the 49th over for a massive six to put the icing on the cake and send a billion people into raptures.

Joining electronics and biology is, perhaps more than an old dream, a promising possibility.
Of neural sensors and the construction of prostheses controlled by thought, even dreams of fancy radical transhumanist, have long talks in humans enhanced by technology.

- Facility processes occur both in public facilities and private ones, including buildings, airports, ships, and space stations. They monitor and control HVAC, access, and energy consumption.
How Does 3D Technology Work?
The Innovative Entertainment Series is supported by Dolby. “Like” Dolby for a chance to have Adam West read your Facebook status update, live, on camera, February 18th.
In 1838, Sir Charles Wheatstone first described the process of stereopsis: the process by which humans perceive three dimensions from two highly similar, overlaid images. Or, the process by which Avatar looks like a mind-blowingly immersive alien landscape instead of a bunch of brightly colored fuzz.
3D technology has come a long way since Wheatstone developed his stereoscope, then used to view static images and eventually pictures. Now we get to wear Wayfarer knock-offs and enjoy 3D films, television shows and video games.
